WHO IS THE REAL JOHN BOLTON??

Something weird just happened.

I received the first formal "opening statement" of John Bolton just before the hearings began and quickly read it.

I highlighted in my last post what I saw as the most shocking part of his statement and reported it. This section dealt with Bolton's comments about the "moral equivalence" or not of deaths on the Israeli side vs. the Lebanese side of the current conflict.

After John Bolton began reading his formal statement, we received an "updated" Bolton statement.

The section I highlighted was excised.

Here is what John Bolton was going to say originally -- and which disappeared from his script:

But it is a mistake to ascribe a moral equivalence to civilians who die as the direct resulte of malicious terrorist acts, the very purpose of which are to kill civilians, and the tragic and unfortunate consequence of civilian deaths as a result of military action taken in self-defense."

So, which is it?

Does John Bolton believe this or not?

Oh come on, Steve, need you ask? The truly despicable aspect of this, beyond the obvious, is that the writers of original script failed to see the window they provided us into the true nature of John Bolton. They included the original comment because they found it perfectly acceptable. One can assume it was removed only after someone said, "Oh hey, by the way, you might reconsider including...".

So now, history, and John Bolton's character, has been cleansed, and we can now view him through a new improved lens.

Just forget he ever said that, Steve. Never happened.

Steve -- if I'm right in guessing who hosts TWN, then they'll have a list of where your visitors are browsing from. They'll either be IP addresses (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) or actual domain names.

The real John Bolton is the mustachio that pounded on the door and lead the disrupting charge of radicalized patronage seeking Bush supporters into the Florida ballot counting room in the 2000 presidential election. Remember??I will never forget that, captured on TV, sickening zeal in his face in that effort to halt ballot counting. He certainly was handsomely paid off for his efforts through this second nomination by that buffoon in the white house. What a statesman this Lugar fellow is to allow such a hearing so early in Bolton's term. But then, rubber stamps are rubber stamps. Lugar to Robertson, move the f**k over..

I saw that statement by Bolton earlier....disgusting wasn't it?

I understand the jewish fealty to Israel, even if it is wrong to my mind, but what is the attraction and connection between the gentile neo's to Israel...is it just the same shared lust for revenge or domination? I don't get it.

Simple. They get to kill Muslim's and loot the Middle East behind the rationale of helping Israel "defend itself". It looks alot better than just being percieved as a bunch of murderous thugs stealing oil.

When you all are finished foaming at the mouths at Jews, you might want to consider that the phrase "moral equivalence" has to do with guilt, not "worth of a human being." Bolton was obviously trying to get across the fact that Israel isn't guilty whereas Hezbollah is. The Geneva Conventions back him up on this - it would be nice to have a UN chair who not only understands this, but is actually willing to apply it to actual situations.
