My co-blogger this week at Andrew Sullivan's Daily Dish, Jamie Kirchik, has gone after Max Blumenthal, and Scott Horton has offered a push-back.

My sentiments about Max and Sidney are pretty well-known, but let me remind.

"I still don't understand how O'Hanlon could have co-written with James Steinberg one of the very first major articles calling for US troop withdrawals from Iraq and then have written "A War We Might Just Win."

Simple, he's just a hired mouthpiece. He will write whatever someone pays him to write. For sale to the highest bidder.

Buzzflash is running a rumor that Gonzales may be replaced by Chertoff.

God help us.

If these fucking coward democrats would do their jobs, we wouldn't be in this position.

BTW, I only mention Buzzflash because it happens to be running this piece mentioned above. Although I do read Buzzflash, I do so with some trepidation. Like TWN, Buzzflash refuses to recognize or tackle the issue of AIPAC, and the Israeli influence on United States' policies. Buzzflash also seems to pander to the status quo "left" in an obscenely partisan manner, ignoring, for the most part, Kucinich, Hagel, or Ron Paul. I no longer donate to Buzzflash for the above mentioned reasons. Buzzflash is toiling to have Obama or Hillary placed in the Oval Office, and for that reason they deserve neither support nor respect.

Wasn't it Laura Rozen that broke the details of Chertoff as the new 'A.G.'? Buzzflash is doing what Buzzflash always does, steal someone else's work and take the credit. Buzzflush would be a better moniker. Now as to Steve's being a "secularist", should Steve be admitting that on the public cyber-waves? Wouldn't such an admission stir the oxy-moronists into a fit of pique? What about the neo-omnists? What about the pseudo-Catholics? What about the quasi-pedistrian-ortho-retro-fitists? What about the Iron Workerists? The coalists? The Republi-treasonists? What about Hillary Rodham Clintonists? What about the two-fisted Americanists? And lastly, what about the NRA-ists? See what I mean? Ists and fists go hand in glove. Would that be hand-in-gloveists? Or just hand fistists?

Read the following, then ponder the ramifications of having this fascist asshole as our Attorney General. Who gets to define "enemy combatant" and "radical ideologies"? Bush? Cheney? Gonzales? Chertoff? Obama? Clinton? Guilianni?

We are in deep shit, people.

Chertoff: “Radical Ideologies” Threaten Internet

by Kurt Nimmo

Global Research, October 22, 2006
Another Day in the Empire

According to Ministry of Homeland Security don Michael Chertoff, “disaffected people living in the US may develop radical ideologies and potentially violent skills over the Internet, something that can present the next major security threat to the nation and to the world,” reports Reuters.

“We now have a capability of someone to radicalize themselves over the Internet,” he told a meeting of the International Association of the Chiefs of Police. “They can train themselves over the Internet. They never have to necessarily go to [a CIA-ISI created] training camp or speak with anybody else and that diffusion of a combination of hatred and technical skills in things like bomb-making is a dangerous combination,” Chertoff said. “Those are the kind of terrorists that we may not be able to detect with spies and satellites.”

Kirchik is a hack and a prostitute for Crazy Marty Peretz. Don't take anything that he says seriously.
