Al Franken Tomorrow; Japan Wednesday

Share / Recommend - Comment - Print - Monday, Oct 09 2006, 11:47PM

Just a quick TWN alert. I will be talking about North Korea and Northeast Asian security issues on Air America's Al Franken Show tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1 p.m.

On Wednesday morning, I'm flying to Chicago for a brief meeting and then to Tokyo -- arriving Thursday afternoon in Japan and staying until the following Tuesday.

I'll be doing a lot of blogging, writing, commentary, and scandalmongering on Japan's new Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, North Korea's nukes, and China's disbelief that America is making its rise in the world so easy.

More later.

First and foremost about the North Korean test is it should be considered a failed test. They do not have a nuclear bomb capability; they are not a member of the Club. Do not feed into the hysteria; knock it down. We don't need another chorus section of squealing little girls with their new bogey man that's gonna get them. Plays right into the malevolant forces, neo-cons, that need to be castrated, and Japan's right-wing.

China must be very nervous that the test is going to push Japan into a bomb program that will take only months to be successful.

Anybody who does not believe that North Korea is now a full fledged nuclear power that must be eliminated is Un-patriotic. We now must get squarely behind our President to combat Evil in North Asia. They hate us for our Freedoms and wish to bring us down to their level of miserable existence. Do not go all wobbley.

God Bless America !

China should be careful what it wishes for.

Sure the view from the top can be beautiful.

But being a superpower is more or less a curse.

Steve, please, how in the hell can you support this twit:

"Republican Sen. John McCain on Tuesday accused former President Clinton, the husband of his potential 2008 White House rival, of failing to act in the 1990s to stop North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. "I would remind Senator (Hillary) Clinton and other Democrats critical of the Bush administration's policies that the framework agreement her husband's administration negotiated was a failure," McCain said at a news conference after a campaign appearance for Republican Senate candidate Mike Bouchard."

Yes it is all Clinton's fault.

There was a lot of good that came out of Clinton's agreement with N Korea, including containment, and Colin Powell wanted to build on that. But this administration wouldn't let him and then dropped the ball. McCain knows this and knows better. Yet he panders some more. Yes, vote McCain, begging bitch of the far right and the fundy evengelical-hypocriticals.

bush squelched any prayer of the clinton plan working, with no alternative policy in place. at least clinton had a plan. sound familiar? bush did nothing for the last six (6) years. mccain should answer how the bush approach was superior to the clinton agreement that bush scrapped in 2002. someone must ask mccain to justify his remarks. christ, i grow weary of unchallenged pontification from these monsters. i think mccain left a few loose screws in his cage.

Good ole Err America. Do you liberals ever wonder why your message is just not economically feasible? Might have something to do with your loser demographics, a bunch of broke slackers gnashing their teeth at successful, prosperous Republicans ... like that bugman Tom DeLay who won't hire you because you will steal.
Who wants to pay for advertising for that group of non-consumers?
Somebody email me when that place finally folds because I sure won't be listening to it.

Robert Morrow is back !! Yippee !!

And he's talkin' class warfare !! Double Yippee!!

Now if only the regular guy and gal can get out from under the wealthy's propaganda, they would vote for their own self interest and corporate capitalist pig Republicans would lose since they would only get the vote of the wealthy.

Class Warfare !! Yippee, and about time.

Hey, little guy! The economy's great, the stock market is making all-time highs and oil prices are plummetting; and all this right before the elections!
