Former Senator Lincoln Chafee on Bush Speech

Former Senator Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) has settled in at his new fellowship perch at Brown University's Watson Institute -- and is speaking out in the press about America's foreign policy mess nearly as much as former Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton.
Here is what Senator Chafee had to say about President Bush's speech recently:
Reflecting on Bush's speech afterward at the Institute, Chafee noted that: "To me, what the President seems to be ignoring is the recommendation that we have a better relationship with Iraq's neighbors. He didn't mention one word in his speech about a better relationship with the Iranians and the Syrians, in particular, but also Iraq's other neighbors -- the Turks, the Saudis, the Jordanians, and the Kuwaitis."On a more personal note, Chafee added that "I can't help but deplore the daily horrors coming from what we grew up studying as the cradle of civilization, the Valley of the Tigris and Euphrates, where human beings first learned the rule of law and an alphabet."

The over/under is 24 hours, on how long it will be before someone asks, out loud, to no one specific, "hey, why do people want to give aid and comfort to the enemy?"

Wherein Chafee demonstrates his upper-class background because, these days, not many people have classics in their curriculum... My favorite word here is "we"....
Bush wants the US to stay in Iraq. All the Iraq neighbors want us to leave. If we stay in Iraq, Iran of course will oppose us. So instead of trying to enlist the aid of Iran to stabilize Iraq as the US withdraws, Bush instead tries to draw Iran into the conflict openly because thy oppose us staying.
The same is true for Syria and Turkey. Staying in Iraq will mean widening the war. Bush wants to stay in Iraq.
Bush policy is FUBAR
The complicit parrots in the MSM never mention Brewster Jennings and Associate, the covert counter proliferations front company that was also comprimised by the WH revenge outing of Plame.
This CIA team was responsible for unearthing the sordid and alarming machinations of the AQ Khan network who passed critical nuclear information to Iran, Libya, NK, and who knows who, before being exposed, and then eventually pardonned by Masharref.
The tentacles of this octupus reach deep into the Bush government darkest closets.
It is obvious that the WH did everything in its' power to undermine the credibility of Joseph Wilson who publically debunked one, and only one of the Bush government most blatant and obvious patent lies pimped to the American public to justify the bloody, costly, noendinsight horrorshow, and opportunity for wanton profiteeriing in Iraq.
The Bush government used the complicit parrots in the MSM to both undermine the messenges, and cloak the message, and in the nefarious process obfuscate an act of treason by some one, or some cabal in the Bush government.
The people have the right to petition the government for redress of greivances, and if any individuals or cabals in the Bush government are responsible for revenge outing one of our own agency operatives, and comprimising one of our own nuclear weapons proliferations operations, - it would be an act of treason, and a grievous treachery against the American people and a grotesque underming of American security interests.
The people must demand disclosure and accountability from the fascist warmongers and profiteers in the Bush government, or relinquish forever our rights, freedoms, and protections, and any hope for maintaining our once more perfect union, and the unique experiment that was American democacy.
"Deliver us from evil!"
It's nice Mr. Chafee has a job. So many upper class jobs have gone overseas.
