This is completely off the topic, I'll grant right off the bat, but I thought you should know what one of those loathsome reactionaries you seem to like so much has been saying recently:

Grover Norquist dropped by The Times' Washington bureau today and, as part of his negative critique of Obama's liberal stances on economic issues and other matters, he termed the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee "John Kerry with a tan."

Gee, what an upstanding guy!

Steve - I was happy to see you mentioned on the front page of the New York Times this morning about your question to Dick Cheney and his reaction. Good going!

North Koreans got lucky: no oil.

Steve,

Thank you very much for working as hard as you do on so many interesting things. I just read the story of your exchange with Vice President Cheney, and then I got directed to this video of your North Korea deal views. It's so impressive and smart. I don't always agree with you, but there is simply no doubt that you have the best foreign policy track record in the business.

Thanks for your dedication to all of us. We really appreciate it.
