Palin Abused Powers: Report Released Unanimously by 8 Alaskan Republicans and 4 Democrats

Watch out for her bite.
Eight Republicans and four Democrats of Alaska's Legislative Council unanimously voted to release a report stating Alaska Governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin abused her powers in firing Alaska Commissioner of Public Safety Walt Monegan in part for his refusing to terminate the employment of a former brother-in-law of Palin's with whom she was personally feuding.
In a 263-page report, investigator Steve Branchlower stated "I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110 (a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."

One has to consider the full implications of this report to get the grist of its import.
Of no small matter is Branchflower's mention of Talis Colberg, and his refusal to turn over Palin emails. Once again we see an AG that is liuttle more than an advocate for the politician that appointed him to his position.
And considering the evidence presented in the report, it becomes an indisputable FACT that Palin has lied to us repeatedly about this issue, most notably two days ago when she premptively released her own sham of a "report", exonerating herself of any wrongdoing.
But more than just an expose on Palin's wanton disrespect for the law, proffessional ethics, and the citizens of Alaska, this whole sordid story says as much about John McCain as it does about Palin. Sending an army of Texas lawyers to Alaska to impede this investigation, John McCain displayed a disdain for Alaska's state government, most notably its legislature and its justice department. Launching frivolous suits to impede the investigation, intimidating witnesses, advising wtinesses to ignore subpoenas, stalling witnesses testimony, etc.
Sound familiar?
Further, it must be noted, as pointed out by TPMuckraker this morning, that the stalling tactics worked. Many witneses that were originally subpoenaed were never deposed because of the actions of McCain's team of Texas lawyers. Had these witnesses been deposed, what further conclusions could have been reached by Branchflower, and included in this report?
There are many that post here that think Palin is irrelevant, and it is McCain that we need to oppose. But the fact remains that McCain was a sinking ship until Palin came on board, and were it not for Palin, its doubtful McCain would even be showing the dismal numbers he is currently showing. I believe that Palin is the one balloon holding McCain aloft. Pop that balloon, and McCain falls. Further, NOW is the time to take the vindictive witch down, and send her crawling back to Alaska. If we don't, she will continue to be a thorn in the side of ethical conduct and responsible leadership. She ain't going away unless we send her away. By all rights, she should crawl back to Alaska, send McCain's sleezeball attorneys back to Texas from whence they came, apologize to the Alaskan people, fire this mewling asslickin' AG Colberg, then promptly resign as Governor.
"Will no one rid me of this meddlesome trooper?"
A careful reading of the report leads to one conclusion: Palin and her husband illegally and unethically used the tools of state government to pursue a personal vendetta against state trooper who was a former family member.
And nothing would stop them. Not when Public Safety commissioner Monegan told them the trooper had already been disciplined before Palin took office. Not when Monegan told the Palins that her father and sister might be charged if they continued to raise the illegal moose kill issue.
They just wouldn't stop- period.

Shocking, just shocking that a Republican would abuse power!!! Has any Republican ever done that before?
Seriously, now we understand we she was selected. Republican insiders were looking to perpetuate the regime.
