Obama Pleased that McCain/Palin Secures Support From "Angler"

Share / Recommend - Comment - Print - Sunday, Nov 02 2008, 10:10AM

"Angler" is the Secret Service's name for Vice President Cheney, who has now formally endorsed the McCain/Palin ticket.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden are 'delighted' that Cheney and Bush have put their nudge behind the Arizona Senator and Alaska Governor.

To remind yourself what "Angler" has done to undermine America's moral, economic, and political position in the world, read Barton Gellman's Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency (which I review here).

They should have kept Cheney in an undislosed secure location this week and not allowed Palin to take unscreened calls at 3 a.m. or any time!
Sacrebleu!!

So this means Cheney's daughter can be back to promote war lies like she was at State in the newly formed Dep't of Near East affairs? Remember the Niger forgery?

Bolton as Palin's handler?

Steve, thanks for the great review of Gellman's book on Cheney. I suspect that, post election, there will be a flurry of interviews, articles and books about the real happenings of the Bush White House. One can only hope that this history will be better teacher for us to be on guard for the advent of the next Angler. - Jack
