Ron Paul was the last best hope for the republicrats...but now he has joined the Limbaugh admiration club and refuses to say if Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP...He could not name a leader!

His actions certainly show the demise of the evangelicrats/republicrats (now the party of the "south) as a viable politial party...and that is a shame for America.

It's important to remember that without jobs, Americans can't buy homes, products or services; domestic or foreign. If given the chance, I believe our new President needs to be reminded of that. Throwing money at the top of the tree won't cure the root rot at the bottom. We need help at both ends.

Texas has given America both some of the best and some of the worst, of course. And the SBs are way, way, way too influential in Texas politics. But a state that could give us Ann Richards, and could be where Molly Ivins grew up and flourished as a journalist, should not be dismissed out of hand. Besides, mirroring California, Texas will be Democratic again within a couple of election cycles. Why do you think Republicans despise Mexican immigrants, even if some of their own are?

With a couple of hundred thousand troops supposedly slated for return, has anyone considered the ramifications of not being able to provide jobs for them in the civilian sector?

My bet? Obama is going to think of ways to keep them employed in the military sector. That means a far greater escalation in Afghanistan than what is being admitted, as well as a greater contingent remaining in Iraq than is currently being proposed. I think the justification for this will soon be inflicted on the American populace, in the form of a pivotal event; another "trifecta".
