This is a very disturbing, graphic video clip of the scenes in Iran today on June 20th. It gives a sense of the chaos and the massive involvement of regular citizens.
This just in from a dependable source over twitter:
Fatemiyeh Hospital Tehran: 30-40 dead as of 11pm; 200 injured. Police taking names of injured.
And another:
Haft Hooz SQ. is on fire, Protesters are so angry and try to push back Bassij with Coctel Molotov...
Others are saying that the Bassij are going to the hospitals, threatening doctors helping the injured and taking names of injured.
The British, Dutch, German and Australian Embassies are taking in injured.

The Canadian embassy personnel are looking for a doctor to bring in so they can help the injured. At this time they have no one with medical training to assist so it is better to send the injured off to a place where they can receive treatment rather than possibly die waiting around in the Canadian embassy.
Obviously this Second Revolution in Iran is a game changer.
If democracy comes to Iran in anyway near a Turkish style of government then our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan would become obsolete.
Imagine the possibility of a Turkish, Iranian, and Iraqi economic/political block guiding policy in the Middle East.
Bottom line. If democracy comes to Iran then America is out of the Middle East.

What is most sad about all this is that the destruction of Iran is prefigured. Diplomatic engagement with this government becomes impossible. Israel will be emboldened to attack (who could argue with them after looking at these videos), and we will be sucked in. At the end, you will be able to pick up what is left with tweezers.
I don't think the Canadian Embassy is smaller then the Australin Embassy which is taking in injured protesters.
might it have to do with the size of the embassy and the number of people it can hold??

It is being reported from Fatemiyeh hospital in Terhan, that there is atleast 30 to 40 killed and over 200 wounded that have come into the hospital. Police are taking the names of all injured at hospital. Embassy's are taking in wounded protesters, thou its being reported that the Canadian Embassy is turning away injured protesters. If this is true, shame on the Canadians.
The spiritual leaders have for 30 years teached the citizens of Iran
about the greatness of becoming a martyr for a good cause. Now,
hundreds of thousands of their best students are shouting Allah
Akhbar in the streets in a revolt against their former teachers.
And Mousavi has said that he is ready to become a martyr.
This makes, I believe, the current Iranian revolution different from
revolutions in the past.
I have read a number of reports saying the normal police are disposed and sometimes helpful toward protestors, that the Basijj are the source of the violence and govt. oppression
