Can`t see Nadine anywhere. Perhaps she was eating lunch? Or maybe the
photographer made a crop of the photo because her message was too nasty?
Paranoid? I've proven that the 2nd invasion of Iraq wasn't about
oil. The Chinese & BP are getting the contracts & the US doesn't
even and never has gotten its oil primarily from Iraq.
More Nadine lies in terms of Walt: while he has never admitted it
(at least not to me when I QUESTIONED him) Walt lost his
position as Dean of Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of
Government because of his authorship of "The Israel Lobby & US
Foreign Policy"
That's a rather large career downswing.
The use of tobacco is voluntary, lying a nation into war and then
getting young kids to believe your lies and enlist falls into a sort
of non voluntary category. 9/11, yellowcake, anthrax, aluminum
tubes...
The tobacco lobby is domestic, the Israel lobby, except for the
nut-tard Christian Zionists, whose ultimate aim is to either kill or
convert all Jews, is foreign.
And Questions, I know quite a few African Americans in the
entertainment industry -- guess who were writers on all those
jive talkin' "black" shows and movies up to this day?
It's a source of outrage to many African Americans that Jewish
Americans are the ones writing shows and movies purportedly
about them and making them look like horny buffoons.
Again, CHECK THE CREDITS. Admittedly Kaplan is often a
"black" name.
Don't try to bullshit a bullshitter, certainly not one who was
trained to bullshit in Hollywood for 15 years.
Jolene, I loves me some Dolly Parton. My boss interviewed her
once, allegedly she has a fondness for other xx. That's alleged.
Paul, do you notice that I provide links to almost every assertion
I make? Would that mean that all these experts and reporters,
most of whom I've never spoken with, are part of my personal
"conspiracy theory" about the power of the pro-Israel lobbies?
You still haven't explained to me while the US pays out to Israel,
and to Egypt to be Israel's "friend."
Again, I have covered the Middle East for the last five years.
Often I did NINE TV and radio news shows a week, but at least
five.
(Workin' NINE TO FIVE -- any other Parton fans out there?)
I have interviewed experts on the Middle East up the wazoo, but
you Paul know more than I do.
BTW:it's lovely here right now, cool at night and just a very nice
warmth during the day and BLUE SKIES NON-STOP. Jealous
much? You should be.
"BTW:it's lovely here right now, cool at night and just a very nice

Cool, clear autumn skies here right now, fantastic colors. I actually love
this kind of weather and temperature. But I`m sure rain will come any time
- Bergen has more rain than any other place in Norway. Three weeks from
now, it will be so dark and cold that I`ll be tempted to travel to
Phoenix.
"I have interviewed experts on the Middle East up the wazoo, but
you Paul know more than I do."
Nope.
"Paul, do you notice that I provide links to almost every assertion

Yes.
If you get a chance, and you're into Parton, check out the "trio" albums. Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, and Linda Rondstat. I'm not into Dolly's stuff, but as a trio, these three are really hot. As an added delight, Allison Kraus does the fiddle work. "The tune "High Sierra" is fantastic if you're into soulful vocals. Albert Lee also plays lead on a couple of the tunes on the first "Trio" album.
appeasers spelled correctly, FWIW
i guess the phrase 'anti-semite' doesn't work as well with j st... it's difficult to say who 'hitler' is in the organization at this point... 'nazi' will have to do...
POA,
I have a popular Swedish music application called "Spotify". I think it will be
available in America soon. If you accept advertising, you can search and stream ALMOST
ANY MUSIC for free from the web. If you pay 10 US$ per month, you get rid of the adds,
download whatever you want, and play it even when you`re not online - I think the
limit is 3500 songs right now. (I sometimes have bad broadband access, but this is not
a problem when I can download stuff.)
I am not trying to push this application on you. I mention it just to say that I`ve
done research on Wyman`s "Rythm Kings" before on Spotify, but nothing came up. But
right now, I did a research on Albert Lee, and ca 10 albums showed up!! - among them
some stuff with a couple of members from Led Zeppelin. I am going to sleep soon, and
while I`m sleeping, I`ll let my machine download all the Albert Lee songs. When I wake
up, I`ll listen, and see what I want to keep on my favorite list.
In any case, thanks for recommending him!
anon - thanks for note. In the picture, when it is larger, the sign does say appeasars rather than appeasers.
best, steve
14 Americans killed in Afghanistan. Why are we there? Because
A. Lieberman calls her a threat to Israel? Thinks... Yup, that's
why.
Now, the Zionists are cranking up a third intifada and calling for
the building of the third temple. Israel's provocations are so
predictable, yet what they don't get is that a lot of the world is
now on to them.
From YNet in Israel:
Prof. Weiss at rightist event: Build third temple immediately
In wake of Muslim riots at Temple Mount, leading rabbis,
rightists call on Israel 'not to capitulate to Palestinian violence.'
Feiglin: Direct link between Jerusalem unrest, Goldstone Report
LOVE Emily Lou. Class act. I saw Linda Ronstadt back when I
was in high school. She's from Tucson. What a voice.
easy e, because he's a furrener and not a native Arizonan, DOES
NOT LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC. The horror. easy e likes JAZZ.
Outraged American hates jazz. This friend of mine, who's a big
wig down in Tucson, got free tickets and tried to force me to sit
through a Pat Metheny concert. Na-uh.
Between Questions and Pat Metheny who needs Ambien?
Steve, the sign doesn't change when it gets larger. His e's are clearly e's, his a's are a's.
If we are picking on the picture, I wanna know whats up with the two fingered left hand technique. Is this the new tried and true sign-holding tactic of the modern zionist street protester?
Or are their other three fingers occupied out of common view, searching for the detonator button?
they're still learning how to make a peace sign, but haven't figured it out yet...
Interesting, a lot of the text Steve provided when he initially posated this photo has been removed. I wonder who raised hell with him. Did he get the names wrong??? What???
Given the likely storm that descended, from raw pressure to defamatory threats related to journalistic free speech standards and exceptions, kudos to Steve for keeping the post up.
Yeah,
apart from the spelling issue, Steve advised Israel`s US ambassador Owen not to mingle
with folks who claim that J Street = Nazis.
Sounds like a wise advice to me. But apparently someone got very angry... Perhaps he
got a phone call: "Hey Steve, if you don`t delete those nasty words immediately, we`ll
invade Gaza again!"
I guess I should have thought twice before writing my comment above.
I`m sure Steve had his reasons to delete most of his original post, and if he
wants to remove my last comment here, as well as this one, I`ll respect that -
whatever the reason...
I agree with Tahoe Editor--I took the trouble to copy and zoom in, and spelling of appeasers is OK on sign. No morans here! A trivial point, but why not be accurate?
Well,
spelling issues certainly isn`t the biggest problem with these guys.
If I had said (which I actually never do) that some acts during the IDF invasion of Gaza
were comparable to certain things the Nazis did to Jews in the ghettos, these charming
fellows would accuse me of anti-Semitism. They, on the other hand, are free to compare a
moderate Israel-friendly lobby with Nazism.
And ambassador Owen seems to have listened to these kind of arguments.
"If I had said (which I actually never do) that some acts during the IDF invasion of Gaza
were comparable to certain things the Nazis did to Jews in the ghettos....."
You'd be tellin' the truth.
ixnay, Paul, keeping the essence of the post alive is important, and an interesting function that we, the commenting public, can perform
The Nazis had nothing on the IDF. Again, Israel is cutting off
Palestinians' water (per Amnesty International) Water tends to be
somewhat necessary to maintain life. Ask Israeli spy Nozette.
Paul's got this European sensitivity about Israel that it appears
many of us in the US have lost as we've awakened over the last
few years to the brutal repression / state terrorism that Israel
has visited on the Palestinians Lebanese, et al, with the full
support of our government and our tax dollars.
It is charming to think of being on a boat on a fjord as autumn
sets in, removed from everything, but that's not the reality for
our troops. Nor is it the reality for Palestinians, the people of
southern Lebanon, the Iraqis, the Afghans, the Pakistanis, the
Syrians, the Iranians, who are waiting for the next shoe, or
rather bomb, to drop.
To repeat:
Amnesty International report-Israel curbing water to
Palestinians.
26 October 2009
JERUSALEM - Human rights group Amnesty International said in
a report published on Tuesday that Israeli restrictions prevent
Palestinians from receiving enough water in the occupied West
Bank and Gaza Strip.
The report says Israel’s daily water consumption per capita is
four times higher than that in the Palestinian territories.

POA -- I removed most of the post because the person who gave
me permission to use the pic used a tongue in cheek reference to
who was in the pic -- but I thought he was being straightforward.
Thus, my comments -- based on his email -- were wrong. I
immediately took them down when I learned this. I am not good at
humor - not my own, or humor from others...so was better just to
strike the color - -and just post the pic. sometimes things are just
what they are -- not because there was pressure.
best, steve
Actually, Steve I pretty much figured as much. It just didn't strike me as something those two would do. The signs are just too hokie. If it was really them, they woulda bribed and blackmailed Congress to hire a Madison Avenue firm to do the graphics.
Besides, they woulda had an army of Jewish college students standing behind them, handing out leaflets.
Protesters are a good sign that J Street is getting somewhere...Onward to a sensible solution now...

Yes, POA - with regards to several events and expressed views, the comparison is
unfortunately appropriate. However, to me it looks like these kinds of accusations tend
to backfire, and not have the desired effect. They also invariably direct the
associations towards Holocaust and other crimes that are on an entirely different level.
The same goes for the comparisons to Adolf Hitler, so frequently used and abused both by
the right and the left on the political spectrum (like Kotzabasis on another thread just
now - re the interview with the Hamas leader; and before that by the left attacking
Bush). I`ve been reflecting a lot about this, and think that these kinds of comparisons
are cartoon-like, and tend to inflate the significance of this words - and, as I said,
often backfire.
Thus I usually think twice before I compare anything or anyone to Nazism, Adolf, his
dogs, his mustache or his mistress Eva Braun.
Baloney. Israel itself is Shiva, but she uses the US military for
much wider destruction & how many deaths? We don't know
because we don't DO "Af-Pak" body counts.
Shiva is the Hindu god of destruction. Sorry, I forget to translate
sometimes, because I dream in Hindi, not.
Paul, you seem to think that the Jewish Holocaust is the worst
thing that ever happened. Same as US schoolchildren, who were
gleams in their great-grandfathers' eyes at the time of WW II,
the ones who weren't killed in WW II fighting for...what?
Of all people, Americans bear the least guilt for the Jewish
Holocaust, or rather, all of the Americas bear the least guilt.
But here we are, bending over the nuclear table for Israel,
sending our troops out to act as her Stepin Fetchit (you're going
to have to look that one up if you're Paul or anyone under 15
like Questions)
Let's see what Israel is up to today. As usual way too much, so
I'll give you Maan, which is a really great, and believe it or not,
so prove it for yourself, a relatively unbiased Palestinian news
source.
http://www.maannews.net/eng/Default.aspx
And by the way, I have no excuse, and never will for my own
country, the US's carnage.
"Paul, you seem to think that the Jewish Holocaust is the worst thing that ever
happened."
Please forget what I "seem to think", and focus on what I actually said: that Holocaust
as a crime is on a different level than the recent bombing of Gaza.
"J Street has a habit of giving platforms and publicity to noxious, viciously anti-Israel and anti-Semitic people, and then claiming they’re not endorsing, just offering ideas and debate, etc"
I see the megaphone assholes have discovered the debate here. Perhaps this particular lyin' asshole will enlighten us with the list of "noxious, viciously anti-Israel and anti-Semitic people" that J Street has given a "platform" to.
Or, uh, perhaps not.
Steve, this is a picture of two guys. Two guys. I don't know that are representative of the opposition to J street and if that is your intention to suggest that, then I would question your intellectual honesty. Do you think those who equate Bush with Hitler are representative of the intellectual left's opposition to Bush or the war in Iraw? Or were there more nuanced views?
By the way, J Street is rumored to be Saudi funded. Would the New American Foundation fellow Daniel Levy and J street board member care to address if that is true and if that compromises their message?
